Yarmouth Community House
Yarmouth, Maine
Wednesday, 26 September 2018 - 1:00 PM
The duo of Violinist Yasmin Vitalius and Composer-Conductor Kim Diehnelt bring 3-dimensions of insights into the art of music-making; from revealing the creative methods of composers, to delving into the obscure world of performers and conductors.

How do composers craft a piece? What shapes a composer’s musical choices? Why does a piece sound the way it does? How do players learn the music? What happens in rehearsals? What do conductors do? What’s it like to play in a huge orchestra? And more.

Each presentation will offer an inside look at the craft of composers, musicians, and conductors. The works and composers covered each session will align with the PSO’s 2018-19 Season repertoire.

Join in the lively “Q & A Conversation” as Yasmin and Kim share knowledge and experiences from “Inside the Music.”
Presenters: Kim Diehnelt; Yasmin Vitalius; Yarmouth Community Services
