Russian flautist Alena Lugovkina and American harpist Katherine Ventura met in Switzerland at the renowned Verbier Festival in 2012 and have been playing together ever since, in Europe and throughout the United Kingdom. They are founding members of the Fábrius Ensemble, an international chamber group that includes trumpet, cello, and percussion, the additional members being from Brazil, France, and Israel, respectively. This concert by Alena and Katherine is part of Fábrius Ensemble’s first American Tour, and will feature harp and flute music that will make you want to dance, from Argentinian tango to romantic waltz, from Celtic melodies to ragtime tunes.
